The Association of Salesian Cooperators was funded by St. John Bosco on May 9, 1876 in Turin, Italy.  The Association of the Salesian Cooperators was approved by Pope Pio IX to bring the Salesian charism into daily life.

On May 9, 2026, the Association of Salesian Cooperators will be celebrating this moment worldwide.  Please join us in our in the local centers closest to you.

Installation of Fr. Joe Nguyen, SDB as the next Provincial of the Salesians of Don Bosco - USA West (SUO) will take place on Monday, August 24, 2026 @ 6p.m. at St. Dominic Savio Church in Bellflower, California.

The Eucharist celebration will be presided over by Fr. Hugo Orozco, SDB, our Regional Councilor for InterAmerica. 

We hope you can join us as we pray for and celebrate Fr. Joes as he begins his important ministry.

Pope Leo XIV to visit and celebrate the Eucharist on August 15, 2026 for the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary at the Parish of St. Thomas of Villanova in Castel Gandolfo, which has been entrusted to the Salesians since the pontificate of Pope Pius XI. The Holy Father will return to Castel Gandolfo on August 29, 2026, to celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of the Lake.

Pope Leo XIV visit expresses his closeness to the local community, which has long been connected to the papacy through the Papal Palace and the Papal Villas, and is a source of great joy for the Salesian community serving there.
